The East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) Octagonal Building renovation project is located on the ECUST Meilong Campus in Minhang District, Shanghai. The Octagonal Building was originally a two-story Staff and Workers’ Activity Centre.

Project Objectives and Design

The primary objective of the renovation is to explore low-energy consumption retrofit solutions. LandVac Titanium Vacuum Insulating Glass was selected due to its excellent sound and thermal insulation properties. The overall design style is a blend of the classic Suzhou garden aesthetic and minimalist modern design.
